The Composites Group Academy has received formal accreditation from Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) and the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) to deliver its “Think Composites!” one-day learning programme across South Africa.
The nationwide training series kicks off on 30 September 2026 in Johannesburg/Midrand, before travelling to major industrial centers including Durban, Gqeberha, Cape Town, Tshwane, and East London through October 2027.
Designed for both technical and non-technical participants—ranging from engineers, material scientists, and manufacturers to hobbyists—the interactive course covers three core modules: composite design, materials, and manufacturing processes. The programme incorporates practical group simulations, facilitated demonstrations, and a self-evaluation assessment. Minimum attendance of 85% is required to receive a certificate of attendance.
Facilitated by industry veteran Andy Radford (MD of The Composites Group), attendance earns registered engineering professionals one Category 1 CPD credit.
The course fee is R3,200 (excluding VAT) and includes learning materials, standard operating procedure documents on a memory stick, and light refreshments. Interested candidates can register directly by emailing academy@thecompositesgroup.co.za.
