Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing has registered another, in a string of recent production milestones, with the first Eclipse 505 removed from its mould at the Cape Town facility.
The Eclipse express cruiser project is a joint venture between Two Oceans and one of the world’s biggest yacht brokerages, US-based HMY Yachts. The project currently encompasses two models, the Eclipse 505 and 605, produced at a dedicated Cape Town facility. “We are thrilled to share a significant milestone from Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing’s dedicated Eclipse production facility in Cape Town, South Africa,” HMY says in a news update on their website. “Hull #1 of the ECLIPSE 505 has emerged from its mould, showcasing the pinnacle of production excellence. The golden-brown hue, a result of intentional “clear” gelcoat, allows a transparent view of the meticulously laminated hull. Kudos to the elite teams ensuring strict adherence to weight specifications, with 505 hull #001 hitting the exact specifications outlined by Michael Peters Yacht Design,” the Company says.
