The first of the new Knysna 550 models has launched, the Knysna Yacht Company confirms in a recent social media post. “The result of months of coordinated effort, from design refinements to precise construction, bringing the next evolution of Knysna Yacht Company to life,” the company says of the updated version of one of its flagship models.
‘Blue Jacket’ was launched in Knysna in early November, much to the delight of yard enthusiasts. “What a beauty! Love the blue colour,” said one Facebook admirer.
November also saw an unusual moonlight launch of the latest SW 108, Kalantis. The sailing superyacht features some eye-catching innovations, including a newly-designed coachroof with a central skylight. “The brief of the owner was very clear and ambitious: to enjoy full comfort while exploring remote parts of the world, and, at the same time, to compete on the race courses with real intention,” SW CEO Marco Alberti SAID in a launch press release. “This duality pushed us even more to refine our solutions for versatility and performance aiming for the Perfect Balance. Kalantis not only extends the boundaries of the SW108 platform but also shows how far Smart Custom can go when guided by a clear and forward-looking vision.”
