The HopYacht may be slender by nature, but the HopYacht yard keeps getting bigger to keep up with market demand..
Yard founders Paul and Mary-Claire Tomes see that as a good sign as they prepare to move into yet another new factory, in Parow Industria, which will have ample production capability. The move coincides with a fresh look for their flagship HopYacht 30, currently in an evolution phase with new production moulds already complete.
“This is more than a move—it’s a significant moment for us,” said Paul Tomes, Co-founder of HopYacht. “We designed the HopYacht 30 to make sailing simpler and more enjoyable for couples who want freedom without complexity. Now, with our expanded facility and new moulds, we’re ready to bring that experience to more sailors across the world.”
“The 2026 HopYacht 30 builds on everything that made our original design so appealing, but with refinements that take comfort and lifestyle to another level,” added Mary-Clare Tomes, Co-founder of HopYacht. “From improved interior detailing to enhanced ergonomics in the cockpit, every change is aimed at making time on board more relaxing, more stylish, and even more fun.”
The HopYacht team have begun conceptualising a new model – the HopYacht 36.
