Blink and you may miss a new boat launch in Cape Town, or so it seems these days with three new eye-catching boat models getting their keels wet during July.

Aluminium-specialist Jacobs Brothers launched their first custom Good Hope 65, an evolution of their Good Hope 56. Commissioning is expected to be complete by mid-August.

It’s the first launch since the death of yard stalwart Fuad Jacobs, who worked on the project with naval architect Ed Joy.

Balance Catamarans this month also launched the Balance 750, the latest in their fleet of performance catamarans. The company says their 750 is their most ‘ambitious performance cat to date’ and ‘a milestone moment in large custom performance cruising’.

Not to be outdone, Voyage Catamarans are busy finalising their all-new Voyage 510 sailing catamaran. Click on the video link to learn more about this project, completed while the company simultaneously moved into a new expanded Cape Town facility. The first 510 also launched in Cape Town during July.
