Derrick Levy says Boating World SA shares Azimut’s family values
South African luxury yacht dealer Boating World has added Azimut Yachts to its range of imported boats following a distribution agreement signed at the Cannes Show last month.
The new commercial partnership with Azimut will be officially launched this month at the Cape Town International Boat Show, Boating World confirmed in a press release released this week.
Boating World is already South Africa’s principal dealer for Fountaine Pajot, Jeanneau, Riviera and Sunreef Yachts.
News of the Azimut deal comes on the back of a landmark sale of an 80ft Azimut Flybridge – the biggest sale of its kind to an offshore-based South African.
Boating World co-owner Derrick Levy said Boating World would also upon request market Benetti, Azimut’s range of mega yachts. “We’ve always admired Azimut and appreciated the brand loyalty owners have to the company,” Levy said. “Azimut boast the widest product range in the world, with models measuring from 34 to 115 foot. This was important to Boating World because we like to anticipate what clients will look for in the future and have a way forward, so they can achieve their boating goals,” he said.
Levy said Azimut and Boating World share the same core values — family-run businesses with strong boating histories.
