Robben Island Museum has issued two tenders relating to its passenger ferry service.
The first is a call for ferry charter companies to form part of a passenger service database. According to the published notice, successful applicants would be expected to “render chartering services to Robben Island Museum’s clients as and when required for a period of thirty six months.”
Prospective service providers are invited to a non-compulsory briefing scheduled for 11am on September 22 at the Robben Island Museum Auditorium, Nelson Mandela Gateway, V&A Waterfront. Bid documents are available at the Museum’s Waterfront office and the closing date is October 6.
The Museum has also issued a call for companies to apply be listed on a panel of of service providers “to render repairs, works, maintenance and supply services on all Robben Island Museum’s vessels / ferries / boats for a period of 12 months for as and when they occur”. A compulsory briefing is scheduled for September 27 at the Robben Island Museum Auditorium. The closing date is October 11.
